TUNÇ FINDIK CLIMBED THE WORLD’S 2ND HIGHEST SUMMIT

With this achievement Fındık became the only Turk to climb all of the 8 highest summits on earth. 8,611 mt high K2 is on the border between Pakistan and China and is the second highest peak in the world after Mount Everest. Because of tough wheather conditions it is also the hardest to climb. So far 302 people could reach the summit of K2, and 80 people lost their lives trying to reach the top.

Turkish mountaineer Fındık has successfully achieved his toughest climb in his project to climb 14 mountains that are taller than 8 thousand meters. He was accompanied by a team of 12 people in his 40 day long endeavor. The team will complete the trip down on August 5th.
